Fox getting Steve on camera. (Kay thought she was hiding out of camera range!)

Craig Mcdowell

KD5ODQ (General) Board Three

Craig has held his Amateur Radio License for eight years, becoming a General Class Operator in 2007.

Craig became interested in Amateur Radio while working in the emergency management field where he saw the value of having an additional means of communication during times of disaster.

He is a member of the Canyon County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) where he promotes the contributions Amateur Radio can bring  to the emergency preparedness planning process.

             Bill Vermette

KD7FDW (General) Board Four

He has been an Amateur Radio operator for 10 years and holds a General class license.  Bill "got into " amateur radio because he wanted a way to stay in contact or call for help on his outings in the wilderness.  When he's on one of his camping outings he always has his hand held with him!

Bill has no HF rig but don't worry, we'll talk him in to getting involved with that area of amateur radio real soon.   He is into the "gadget" part of amateur radio!  He loves putting "Kits" together and recently built a Tiny Track Byionics Kit to use to help track kayakers on an upcoming kayak trip.  His next kit will be a QRP HF SSB kit.
